QUINCY, Ill. - For the Truman women's swimming team's first duel meet of the season, the Bulldogs traveled to Quincy to take on the Hawks and came out on top by a score of 120-78.
The Purple and White opened the night with one of its six first-place finishes thanks to the freshmen quartet of Mikayla Kempf, Lauren Massot, Maggie Hickey, and Kaylee Sisson in the 400 medley relay (4:08.30). Truman also closed out the meet by winning the 200 free relay in 1:43.34 and that foursome was made up of Maggie Hickey, Emily Ponte, Grace Fodor, and Libby Opfer.
Those two wins for the Bulldogs sandwiched victories by Grace Fodor in the 200 free (2:03.09), Libby Opfer in the 50 free (25.31), Nikki Sisson in the 200 IM (2:15.04), and Jasmine Roghair in the 100 free (55.71).
Next up, both the Truman men's and women's teams will host Maryville and Lewis on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. in Pershing Natatorium.
